To quote the Apostle Paul, "I am summoned by the will and purpose of God."

As a recovered addict, and justice served returning citizen, I have a passion to help individuals become the very best they can be. My intent is to use my Peer Support Specialist certification by offering my services where needed, while using my knowledge, and life skills to wisely make a difference in peoples lives. The experience of serving time in prison was a time of reflection and openness to my spiritual new life and growth. Using the knowledge I've gained by obtaining my Bachelor's Degree in Business and Economics from High Point University and by being a business owner and operator all my adult life, I will be identifying and applying for viable grants, soliciting contributions, and facilitating the acquisition of property to establish Transitional Housing, Education and Worship Centers for justice served returning citizens.

Rev. George Staley, Jr./Chairman/Board Member

My parents are the late Cecelia and George Staley, Sr.  They were great examples of what hard work and the love of family can mean in a child’s life.  I come from a family of six children, and I am the youngest. I hold certificates in areas that span from carpentry to baking.  I also hold certificates and diplomas from Greensboro Bible College.  I am a licensed minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and have been afforded the blessing and opportunity to pastor for six years at Mount Carmel Baptist Church of High Point, North Carolina during the early 2000’s. Most recently, I have graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Atlanta, Georgia where I earned a degree in Funeral Services.  I am currently doing my apprenticeship under Hargett Funeral Service of Greensboro, NC. In conclusion, I would like to use the gifts and talents the Lord has bestowed upon me to be a beacon of light for the furtherance of the Vessels of Mercy Outreach Ministry to the glory and honor of our all wise God and Heavenly Father.  Loving father of four and grandfather of three.

The fact of the matter is: God can and does use imperfect or flawed VESSELS  just like you and I. I do believe that God takes great pleasure in choosing the most unlikely people to accomplish HIS purposes in this world. Everyone around, including family, may consider these individuals the least likely to be used, but thankfully Gods thoughts are not ours, HIS thoughts are higher than ours.  No matter who you are if you will yield your life to God, you too can become a VESSEL God can use. I wake everyday and thank God for this opportunity to serve HIS people along side the board of VESSELS OF MERCY OUTREACH. Following the leading of the HOLY spirit this vision will become reality- lives will be saved, generations changed and communities strengthened. Not so that we can be acknowledged but so that God will get the glory. HE has an EXPECTED END. We are claiming that it be done-Suddenly-In Jesus Name!

2 Timothy 2:21 NKJV

Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

While we are so very thankful for the help that we have; we are still in need of more help. If there is a passion in your heart, if you are looking to be a part of something bigger than yourself or if you are just looking to make a difference please reach out to our Head Volunteer Coordinator.
